Buffalo Trace Barrel SelectÂ
There are many icons in the world of Kentucky Bourbon, but perhaps, at this moment in time, there is none more iconic than Buffalo Trace. This absolutely gorgeous barrel is on the nose, light caramel, honey, and a floral bouquet work together in equal parts for sweet, subtle simplicity. On the palate, a very approachable profile of soft spice, creme brulee, and those irresistible butter cookies that come in the metal tin around holiday-time. Yellowstone Hand Picked Collection
One the nose Bit-O-Honey candy, cooked apricots, peanut butter toffee, and caramel. Big time candy bomb. As it opens, the fruit notes turn into bananas foster and really nicely structured oak stave and barrel char emerges. The palate is Bright & spicy! Honey, sweet tea, buttered brown sugar, and dry baking spice. With water The nose goes more bananas foster from the get-go, with a little peanut brittle and vanilla. The palate goes to a nice floral accented honey with intense baking spice building on the backend before fading out.Â
